Since the school was founded and funded through charity works, their education is free. Nonetheless, recently the original founder of the school died, caring behind the school .The Children of the founder has no intention of continuing the program leading to hard times for the school.
Most students come from families of poor and low income earners. Their education is free as well as board and local lodging, but with foreign & local support, being about these students might not be able to continue on, with their education.
Our Objectives on doing this said activity are first, to plant any vegetables that can help to sustain their daily needs. Second, to maintain these planted vegetables to be used by them. Third, harvest it. And finally, sell it to earn money for other needs. Some of our equipment and materials that must be used in the activity are bolo, organic fertilizers, guna and broom stick. We also include the match sticks and an empty sack of rice.
For this our narrative report on what our community service is all about. The next page shows our goal in tending to this same community service.
V. Logistics and Coordination
We choose to help the often mentioned school because we want to make their daily needs of be more improved. It has come to our presence to help this school because we have visited it on our last NSTP01. In preparation, this project we first picked what is the best community to be helped. In accordance to that we had decided to help the School for the Blind.
First, we officers settled a meeting on how to contact, “Nong Boy” at the school for the blind. After that, we arranged the possible dates on preparing this community service activity. We officers tell them to bring any planting and cleaning materials like: Guna, walis ting2x, seedlings, and dust pan. We had an argument to bring our planting materials every time we had our NSTP activity.
In implementing this community service, we will help in maintaining the said service. As for the following days, we will be the one who will teach them on how to maintain the plants we have planted. Our service would only be up to the 25 hour requirement of our NSTP-CWTS subject; in the next and following days of them, they would be the one to maintain it for support to their daily needs.
